A well-designed macro can simplify the rotation while maintaining strong single-target DPS, especially in dungeons and boss encounters. Best Cleric Macro for Dungeons
For dungeon content, the priority should be single-target boss damage. Most dungeon encounters do not require Clerics to spend much time clearing large groups of trash mobs, so there is little reason to build around AoE damage.
This is why Judgment Thunder should generally be removed from the dungeon setup. Using it can reduce overall single-target DPS because the skill takes opportunities away from abilities that deal more damage against a single target.
